You can convert any location to a Short URL, and share on social sites like Twitter, Facebook.
How does plazz.me work?
You can locate places entering a full Address or the Geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude). With this information, plazz.me generates a shortURL which you can append in your messages, and submit to your Twitter Account or wathever. If your followers wants to know about where are you talking about, they only need to click the short URL.
How plazz.me could know my current location
Plazz.me is prepared to use Google Gears to geolocate you.

To improve the user experience, when plazz.me detects a request from an iPhone or an iPod Touch, it redirects the user to the iPhone Google Maps, which has a fantastic user interface. By now, this is a good solution.
